During the COVID-19 pandemic, I am providing psychotherapy only online, or by Telehealth. I will not be meeting with any patients face-to-face in my office until further notice.
I would be happy to meet with you using a web-based audio-video conferencing platform. The platform that I prefer to use is called doxy.me. The www.doxy.me platform is free and easy to use. It is similar to online videoconferencing platforms that you may have used previously, such as Skype or Zoom. It will feel like we are in the same room. It maintains confidentiality and privacy and is compliant with federal HIPAA regulations.
You are welcome to get on the doxy.me website and determine whether you will be able to use it. You will need adequate wireless internet, a camera, and a microphone. Doxy.me can be used from a smartphone. My office is https://doxy.me/drlish.
Insurance typically pays for telehealth visits. The federal government has issued guidance that all health insurance companies should pay for Telehealth services for all patients for the duration of the COVID-19 pandemic. However, I cannot say for certain whether your particular health insurance plan includes telehealth benefits. If it is not clear whether your health insurance will cover telehealth visits then I am able to accept payment using credit or debit cards.
If it is not possible for you to use doxy.me then, during the COVID-19 pandemic only, I am able to use Zoom, FaceTime or the old-fashioned telephone to conduct psychotherapy. Please let me know whether you need to use one of these alternate methods of communication. Otherwise I will expect to meet with you via doxy.me.
The first step is an assessment session. I will do my best to give you a diagnosis and specific recommendations.
To arrange an appointment today, please fill out the contact form on my website. I look forward to meeting with you!
